Are Women In Lingerie Cutting Back?
Are women in lingerie, who have clothed themselves in the delicate satin, lace, bowed and string apparel cutting back on buying their fancy undergarments? Times are tough, with gas and food prices soaring and just about everything else, people are tending to cut back on their ‘wants’ and focus more on their ‘needs.’ In New York City, the lower east side shopping district has shown how times have changed. There are a few undergwear and lingerie shops left, but it is nowhere near what it was 10 or 20 years ago, and they are struggling to stay open. One shop owner said years ago that there would be a line of people waiting to get in his store and today they go for hours without seeing a single person.
